To query the tax account, you need to enter certain parameters. First of all, you should choose the period you want to view and the level of detail of the statement.
- “END OF PERIOD": the tax account can be queried by year. Accordingly, by entering the end of the period, the year you want to view can be displayed. (For example, if you want to check your liabilities booked as due in 2021 on the basis of a PIT return for 2020 filed in 2021, you should select 31 December 2021 as the end of the period.) When you enter a current or future date, the open items for the period concerned up to the date of the query or the date you enter are displayed. For example, you can start a query for a future date for an alleviated payment to see when you need to pay each instalment.
- “TAX FILTER" (optional) parameter, it is also possible to display only specific tax items instead of the entire tax account.
- “TYPE OF TAX ACCOUNT “: it allows you to control the level of detail and the type of statement in which the tax account data is displayed. You can choose between the balance type (balance type tax) and the itemised type (Itemised/List). The balance type query is not suitable for itemised analysis. It mainly shows the balance of each tax and tax account. It only shows the accounting items in aggregate, not separately. Therefore, for a detailed reconciliation of the tax account, it is recommended to query the Itemised (Tax Account Statement) or the List type, as these contain the data typically required for reconciliations (for example, the document or title on the basis of which the NTCA entered the given item).
- "FILE NUMBER/DECISION NUMBER" (optional), only items booked for the selected period from the given document (decision/declaration/form) can be queried.
The result of the query can be viewed in PDF, XML and Excel (XLS) formats, and you can also download a validated PDF.
