A payment service provider subject to supply data in Hungary is a payment institution or credit institution having its registered seat in Hungary or providing payment services in Hungary, which requires a licence issued by the National Bank of Hungary (Magyar Nemzeti Bank) for its operation and whose payment services fulfil the conditions described under the following next two headings. Payment service providers include, for example, banks. A "payment service provider" may also refer to an electronic money issuer and a postal company with universal service obligations.
Payment services include bank transfers, direct money collection, bank or credit card payments, money transfers and e-wallets.
