A public interest disclosure draws attention to a circumstance whose remedy or elimination is in the interest of the community or society as a whole. The public interest disclosure may also include a proposal. Please use the form at the bottom of this page to submit a public interest disclosure.

To make a public interest disclosure, you must complete all mandatory fields of the form marked with an asterisk (*).

The personal data provided on the form will be transferred to the competent authority if NTCA does not have jurisdiction over a part of the notified matter.

  1. Data of the notified party

Enter the details of the person or company to whom your notification relates.

In the case of a private person, please be sure to enter

  • the name of the notified party,
  • the place of the infringement, if known,
  • the domicile of the notified party,
  • their tax identification code,
  • their place and date of birth,
  • their mother’s name,
  • phone number, if any, or
  • internet contact details, such as website or e-mail address.

In the case of a private entrepreneur, the following information may also assist identification:

  • the tax number of the notified private entrepreneur,
  • the address of the their registered office or business site.

The notified company can be identified clearly by

  • its exact name,
  • tax number, and
  • registered office and
  • business site.

However, we recommend that you also provide any other known contact details, for example:
phone number, internet contact details.

  1. Content of the public interest disclosure

Please provide as much accurate and detailed information as possible in your public interest disclosure. A minimum of 150 characters and a maximum of 3,000 characters are available for this.

If you can provide evidence in support of your notification, please include it with your submission. A total of 10 files with the file extensions "pdf", "doc", "docx", "tif", "rtf", "jpg", "jpeg" or "png" may be attached. The maximum size per file is 5 MB, but the total size of the files cannot be more than 15 MB.

  1. Management of public interest disclosures

An investigation based on the public interest disclosure may last longer than 30 days, and you may not be informed of its findings or of the action taken, due to the provisions on tax and customs secrecy.

If you re-submit your previous public interest disclosure with the same content and it does not contain any new information, NTCA may disregard the repeat submission.

If it is evident that the notifying party has made the public interest disclosure in bad faith or has provided false or incorrect information of a decisive nature and

  • with this may have committed a criminal offence or infringement, their personal data must be provided by NTCA to the body or person entitled to conduct the proceedings,
  • there are reasonable grounds to believe that they have unlawfully caused damage or other legal injury to another person, they must provide their personal data to NTCA at the request of the body or person entitled to initiate or conduct the proceedings [1].
