There are several ways to find out about your tax account:
- in person, at NTCA's customer services across the country ;
- in writing, from the competent directorate holding the tax account;
- electronically, via the NTCA's electronic administration interface, the Taxpayer Portal, or
- by phone, on the NTCA Infoline, under menu item (2) (the downloadable document is available in Hungarian only).
The NTCA Infoline
The service is available in Hungarian on working days, Monday to Thursday from 8.30am to 4pm, and on Fridays from 8.30am to 1.30pm. You must have a customer ID number to receive personalized information and perform administrative tasks. A customer identification number can be requested as follows:
If you wish to request specific information or handle a tax matter that does not concern you personally, please also submit the so-called "UJEGYKE" data sheet! The UJEGYKE data sheet can be used to register comprehensive and specific (main) groups of matters, for all forms of administration, including telephone administration. Previous powers of attorneys authorizing telephone transactions remain valid. |
Some taxpayers are also notified ex officio by the NTCA of the status of their tax account.
